The favourite place I like to go

My favourite place is Katharagama. It is one of the most beautiful and archeological place in Sri Lanka. Katharagama is mainly based on God Katharagama, God Walli and God Thewani. Katharagama Dewalaya was built by King Dutugamunu According to the promise of God Katharagama. Not only the katharagama dewalaya, there are so many tourist destinations in that area such as Kiri wehera, Sella Katharagama Temple, Sithulpawwa, Kabilitta etc.  

Kiri  wehera temple is a part of Katharagama Dewala area and it was built by King Mahanaga. Sella Katharagama is another beautiful place in Katharagama and it is located a short distance from Katharagama. God Ganesh is mainly worship in the 
Sella Katharagama Temple and Lakshmu Dewalaya is very close to the Sella Katharagama temple. Kabilitta is another popular place and it is located in the Yala Forest. Women's are should not go to the Kabilitta. So many people say God Katharagama is still alive in the Kabilitta. But it is just a legend. Sithulpawwa also buddhist archeological place in the Katharagama area. It was bulit by King Wipula and it is also a beautiful tourist destination in Sri Lanaka.


 


 


 

Katharagama is a pan - religeous place in Sri Lanka. Otherwise there are so many forests, lakes and archeological places. As Sri Lankans we have to protect this magical place and that's why i am telling this is the favourite place I like to go. Hope you'll enjoy my blog.

  Art is an important thing to our personal life and our society. Craft is the basement of art. So if we don't mastering the craft we can't make the art. The bond of art and craft is like bark on a tree. The art is making from the work of people. It's called human process. I would like to show you some arts who made from the result of human process.     This is some arts namely  dancing, singing, acting and painting.  All these subjects was made by the result of  human process. For an example, if we want to be a good dancer, we should do the practices every day. If we don't do the practices we can't be a good dancer. So practice means mastering and mastering helps to create a new art. And we have to study other dancing styles. My Favourite Dancing Style

    My favourite dancing style is Low Country dancing style. It is the main Dancing tradition in three areas in our country. There are Mathara, Benthara & Raigama. The main peace ceremony of this dancing style is called 'Dewol Maduwa' and the story of  Dewol Maduwa is based on King Seramaan.         This is the main drum of  Low Country dancing tradition. It is called 'Yak Beraya'. Kithul, Ehela, Pol, Kohomba are the types of wood using to make Yak Beraya.        This is the main costume of Low Country dancing tradition. It is called 'Thelme Costume'.
