My favourite country

We know if we ask a question that what is your favourite country, so many people said ' I like America, I like Australia, I like New Zealand' etc. But if you ask a question from me that what is your favourite country, obviasly i am telling 'My favourite country is Sri Lanka'. Beacuse Sri Lanka is a beautiful country and it is one of the best country in Asia. We say Sri Lanka is the pearl of Idian Ocen. In ancient time (the time of King Parakramabahu the great) Sri Lanka was called the Eastern Garanary. 

As a country we had to faced so many enemy invasions such as Porthuguese, Dutch and British. But we finished all those problems very successfully beacause of our great heroes such as Kappetipola Maha Disawa, Weera Puran Appu, Gongale Godabanda etc. In present days we had to face a big war is called LTTE invasion. But we were able to finish that invasion very successfully. As a Sri Lankans we have to appriciate all the soldiers who faced that invasion.

As a country we have a beautiful bio diversity such as forests, mountains, rivers, rain falls etc. Sinharaja, Yala, Udawalawa, Wilpattu are the main forests in our country and Bambara Kanda, Diyaluma, Lakshapana are some beautiful rain falls in Sri Lanka. Mahaweli, Kelani, Nilwala, Kalu are some beautiful rivers in our country. 

As a country we have an ancient history. Even today we can see so many arceological places such as Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa Prakramabahu Palace, Lowamahapaya, Isurumuniya etc. The special thing is The technology who used for make these magical inventions is better than the present technology. For an example, Water Flower technology of Sigiriya is a big question even today for the scientists. But i am telling proudly our ancient time people was very clever and hard workers. 

 If we talk about the art of our country, it is a deep subject and field in the world. Beacause there are so many sides such as dancing, hand craft, wood craft, Laksha etc. 

 As a Sri Lankans we have to proud of our country. Beacause if we go to another country we nver found smoe points like that. There for we have to protect our country and i am telling again and again i love my mother land very much. I hope you'll enjoy my blogs and see you all in another blog.
